Chateau St Michelle
Chateau St Michelle's Winery is one of Washington's oldest and most acclaimed wineries. You can find their award winning Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling in most stores but the truly fine productions you can only get direct from their winery. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it.
Did you know that Seattle burned to the ground in 1889? The story told by our tour bus driver was very interesting. Did you know that they rebuilt the city 20 feet above the old street? So many strange and corrupt things happened in the early days of Seattle. The Fremont Troll in the picture above was actually built in an attempt to eliminate a bad area where vagrants would hang out and do drugs. Now it's a famous tourist stop. The view of the city from Kerry Park is amazing and the Salmon Fish Ladder viewing is something I didn't even know I wanted to see.
